A pomander, from French pomme d'ambre, i.e. apple of amber, is a ball made of perfumes. It was one of the first forms of aromatherapy in Europe, first mentioned in literature in the mid-thirteeth century. During Victorian times, it was popular to make pomanders to scent a room, especially at Christmas-time. Normally, one would puncture an orange with many whole dried cloves, often in a pattern. Sometimes, the orange would be rolled in ground cinnamon and placed on a dish to scent a room. When the pomanders dried, it was common to use them as ornaments for the holiday tree. Our Pomme d'Ambre soap, like our Orange Chai, is scented with orange and cinnamon essential oils, but this one adds grounding and intensifying patchouli. The addition of fresh ground cloves and cinnamon finshes up this lovely holiday soap. Five-plus ounces at cutting, this moisturizing, long-lasting Oui Everyday Soap has a very dense lather.
Ingredients: Saponified palm oil, olive oil, coconut oil, steam-distilled essential oils of orange, patchouli and cinnamon and fresh-ground cloves and cinnamon.
As always, all Oui Naturals Soaps are handmade in small batches with icy clean Colorado Rocky Mountain spring water.
This soap is vegan and paleo/primal.
Please note that all real soaps must have proper drainage to ensure they last a good, long time. We recommend any kind of soap dish that keeps your soaps elevated and out of standing water.
